Introduction:
The National Youth Festival(NYF)is organized every year from 12th to 16th January. 12th January being the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the great philosopher and thinker, is observed as National Youth Day. The Festival is a National Integration camp on a mega sale and it is an integral part of the component of promotion of National Integration under NPYAD Scheme. The National Youth Festival is an annual event organized by Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India in collaboration with one of the State Government which hosts the National Youth Festival. During the Festival, various cultural programmes (both competitive and non-competitive), Youth convention, Suvichar, Exhibition, Adventure programmes, etc. are organized and about 7500 youth delegates from different State/UTs take part in the Festival. DISTRICT AND STATE LEVEL YOUTH FESTIVALS:-
* District Youth Festivals were conducted in all the Districts..
* Competitions were conducted in Folk Song (solo), Folk Dance (solo), Folk Song (Group) and Folk Dance (group), individual events i.e., Story Writing, Declamation, Painting, Poetry, Science Mela etc., .
* State Level Competitiions were conducted through online on 3rd and 4th January, 2025. State Champion Competitions were conducted in Quiz, essay writing and topics on Viksit Bharat in coordination with A State Council of Higher Education.
* The 1st prize winners of State Level Youth Festival were sent to participate in National Youth Festival held from 10th to 12thJanuary, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi..
Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue:-
As a part of National Youth Festival-2025 competitions on Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue were conducted in 3 phases in coordinaiton with AP State Council Higher Education and top 30 young leaders were selected out of 3000 entries. Top 30 young leaders were sent to participate the National Youth Festival held at New Delhi.
