Introduction:
The National Youth Festival(NYF)is organized every year from 12th to 16th January. 12th January being the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the great philosopher and thinker, is observed as National Youth Day. The Festival is a National Integration camp on a mega sale and it is an integral part of the component of promotion of National Integration under NPYAD Scheme. The National Youth Festival is an annual event organized by Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India in collaboration with one of the State Government which hosts the National Youth Festival. During the Festival, various cultural programmes (both competitive and non-competitive), Youth convention, Suvichar, Exhibition, Adventure programmes, etc. are organized and about 7500 youth delegates from different State/UTs take part in the Festival. Youth Services:-
* Youth between the age group of 15 and 29 years may participate in the competitions.
* District Youth Festivals are proposed to be held during the months of September & October, 2024.
* Interested Youth may contact the Chief Executive Officer, STEP of their respective districts to know the details of conduct of competitions; dates, venue etc.,
* Youth are requested to register their names either individually or in the name of organisation in My Bharat portal and upload the activities being conducted by them from time to time.
